Indulgence Hair & Beauty Salon

Indulgence hair and beauty was founded in May 2021 by Sashay Reddick and Jason Ferguson.

Sashay moved to the UK 5years ago as a makeup artist from Jamaica. It was not long until Sashay became popular in demonstrating her makeup artistry skills in the Wolverhampton and surrounding areas across the West Midlands. Due to Sashay’s never-ending ambition and tenacity to keep developing, she then began hairdressing to add to her skillset and services.  Sashay is widely known to accommodate clients new and old, even at short notice.  Providing services from natural hair care, braids, children hairstyles, bridal packages and her signature lace wig fitting installations etc.

As the demands for services grew and extra space was needed to host clients. Sashay and Jason came together May 2021 and established a joint venture for Indulgence Hair and beauty salon to be located on Wellington Road, Bilston. Despite the UK was battling with the challenges of Covid -19 lockdown, both business partners were determined to ensure that they were able to provide a reliable, reputable, safe, friendly black owned business within the community at affordable prices to success. Sashay and Jason have been able to provide stable work opportunity to one of their dedicated apprentices and have many more business plans to extend and grow soon.

Indulgence hair and beauty is open 7days a week and the doors are always opened for enquiries/consultations. The business prides itself for having a strong social media presence so old and new prospective clients who can witness first hand some of the hottest styles in the hair and makeup industry. Sashay and Jason’s focus is, for anyone in receipt of any treatment at the salon is when they leave, they have left feeling confident, happy and empowered.

To be nominated for an award and to be recognised in the same category with other amazing business owners is truly humbling and heartfelt, to see that the hard work and dedication of Indulgence hair and beauty salon has not gone unnoticed. Without the support of my loyal clients, none of this would be possible from the start to present.

Fluffy Flawless Faces

I have always been an artistic and creative person, from fashion design to theatrical media makeup. Makeup wasn’t something I initially was interested in doing however the more compliments and requests I received I decided to study it in 2018 to get more of an understanding and background as clientele was increasing. I never expected my work to be so loved and a sustainable growing business.

I love a challenge and trying looks I’ve never created before. But no matter if it’s simple or OTT the outcome is always FLAWLESS. My main aim and priority in every appointment is to make sure people enjoy their experience and love the service/final look.

I then moved on to broadening my qualifications and techniques by studying other beauty courses such as beauty therapy which includes multiple massages,  facials and afro Caribbean hairdressing. The more I do clients the more my name spreads via word of mouth and led me to become well known in my community and other cities such as “the fluffy girl who does makeup”.

After 6 years being qualified and home/moblie based I’m now entering a salon. This will again broaden my clientele, skills and knowledge for myself and future students who are willing to learn via my 1-1 lessons. My next moves will be to expand my team and train younger teenagers to be just as good as me and hopefully work along side me. I constantly look for ways to better myself and my business, my passion for being creative pushes me to do more and be consistent. All of my returning clients will always be my motivation because without them I wouldn’t be a highly rated business. So a massive thank you to anyone who has shared my page or any posts, mentioned me by word of mouth, came for a treatment, a returning client or simply just supporting me.

Shida's Styles

I have been running shidas styles for 10 years now done a few local celebrities hair won a couple of awards in the Birmingham area. And still have a passion for making people feel better by doing their hair. #ilovewhatido

Amor Brows

Kim, the owner of Amor Brows started her beauty business in 2018 after noticing a lack of representation in the permanent makeup industry for WOC.

Wanting to level the playing field, and due to her love of brows, she embarked on a PMU course to specialise in cosmetic brow tattooing.

“I wanted to promote more representation for women of colour in the PMU industry. I felt that there wasn’t enough examples of women who looked like me being serviced in PMU brows, particularly in the West Midlands. Setting up my own PMU business has allowed me to create a space where women of all ethnicities, but particularly WOC are represented. Since starting my business I have been fortunate enough to have women travel from all over the UK and have also had clients and students travel from countries such as Canada, Germany and Sierra Leone, for my brow services and to train with me”.
